Kyle Warren
Founder + Research Director
Kyle is an educator and researcher whose work explores the affective relationships among trauma, memory, and the design of the built environment. Committed to the pursuit of social and spatial justice, he is completing a doctorate in the Philosophy of Religion at Drew University. Kyle teaches at the Boston Architectural College, has worked as an outreach worker with Bridge Over Troubled Waters, and has served as an advisor and collaborator on several Boston Society for Architecture initiatives, including Mass + Cass and Make/Shift.
Kyle is interested in developing tools that share ownership with people seeking support services, promoting agency through open-source knowledge sharing. These projects include mapping community resources, creating systems for reviewing and sharing experiences with service providers, and developing platforms that enable people to advocate for their rights without fear of retaliation from the organizations on which they depend.
Ben Peterson
Founder + Design Director
Ben is the Community & Collaborative Design Director at the Boston Society for Architects. Ben has collaborated with an array of neighborhood organizations, community partners, students and professional designers on projects that seek to understanding the spaces and narratives that shape the experiences of the city’s most vulnerable populations. Ben received his undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College and a Master of Architecture from the Rhode Island School of Design.
Recent collaborators include: MASS Design Group, Boston’s Office of Recovery Services (ORS), the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics (MONUM), Boston Society for Architecture (BSA), Boston Architectural College (BAC), Bridge Over Troubled Waters.
